5-minute Easy Vacation Hairstyles You’ll Love

Finally, spring break is here! And, if you’re lucky enough to be packing your bags for the beach, we’ve got some great style tips to take with you. Soak in the fun and save time with these easy and effortless vacation hairstyles and accessories. You’ll look great, you’ll feel great, and your IG feed will thank you.

Spring Break Hair Essentials

A hat is a beach vacation must. Do not leave home without it! Protecting your skin, your scalp and your hair is crucial when you’re spending hours outside. And, frankly, with a fashionable hat and shades, you get 100% style with 0% effort. How can you argue with that?

Moisturizing leave-in conditioner is another essential when it comes to protecting your hair and color from chlorine, salt water and sun, helping to fortify your strands and making them less vulnerable to UV rays.

The right hair accessory is both fashionable and functional. A few cute pins or barrettes add a pop of personality and keep the your locks tamed in the ocean breeze. But for ultimate vacation versatility, we love a stylish scarf. From short hair to long hair, everyone can style with a scarf. Start easy and tie your scarf into a headband or wrap it around a messy bun. And, if you’re feeling ambitious, try wrapping it into a braid for a fun, flirty vacation look.

Fun Buns

High, low, messy or polished there are endless ways to style a bun. But when it comes to vacation the messy bun or top knot is our fave. Wind and waves only enhance the messy bun look.  The key to a messy bun is slightly dirty hair. For extra volume, pull your hair into a ponytail first, divide it into a few sections and tease each section. After you’ve made the bun, pull the hair until you have the volume you’re looking for. For the ultimate easy hairstyle, this is your go-to.

Beachy Braids

We adore a beautiful braid for those breezy beach days. And there are so many stunning styles to choose from! For medium to long hair, a half braid is quick and easy. As long as your layers in the front are long enough to pull back, this style will work for you. But don’t stop there. Prep for your trip with a tutorial—teach yourself dutch braids, a soft French braid or a crown braid (this last one is perfect for short hair). A little bit of practice and you could have your favorite go-to style in under five minutes. Keeping your hair in braids will keep it from getting tangled during a day at the beach or pool. Bonus? Keep your braids in until they are mostly dry and you’ll get beach waves for the evening.

If you need a little help mastering any of these looks before your trip, ask your stylist for tips specific to your hair’s texture and length.
